    Ingredients for Recipe:

Before we get to the step-by-step instructions, a few notes about the ingredients.

    • Cod Fillets: Firm, mild fish works best. Swap for haddock, tilapia, or mahi-mahi if you prefer.
    • Taco Seasoning or Blackening Seasoning: Adds bold flavor. Use our homemade spice mix or store-bought.
    • Olive Oil: Helps the seasoning adhere and crisps the fish. Any neutral oil, like avocado oil, works too.
    • Toppings: Avocado, cilantro, pickled onions, cotija cheese, and lime wedges are classics. Experiment with Mango Salsa, coleslaw, crema, or hot sauce for variety.
    • Tortillas: Grab your favorite soft corn or flour tortillas. For extra flavor, char them over an open flame or on a skillet.

Yes! Thaw the fish completely, pat dry, and proceed with the recipe for best results.

How do I know when the fish is cooked?

The fish should flake easily with a fork and reach an internal temperature of 145 degrees.

What if I don’t have an air fryer?

Bake the fish at 425 degrees for 12-15 minutes or pan-sear it on medium-high heat until cooked through.

    Are these tacos gluten-free?

Yes, if you use corn tortillas and ensure your seasoning is gluten-free.
