Ingredients
2 pound salmon fillet
2 1/2 tablespoons homemade shawarma spice mix
2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
2 teaspoons fresh lemon juice

- Shawarma Sauce
- Jerusalem Salad
Instructions
- Marinate salmon. Combine the homemade shawarma spice mix with extra virgin olive oil and lemon juice in a bowl. Mix well. Pour over salmon and spread with a brush or teaspoon to cover all of the fish. Set aside to marinate for 30 minutes.
- Cook fish. Preheat oven to 425℉. Move salmon to oven and bake for 10-12 minutes. Switch to broil for another 4-5 minutes for a browned and crispy top.
- Garnish and serve. Remove salmon from the oven and rest for 5 minutes. Flake the salmon. Serve in shawarma wraps with Jerusalem Salad, Shawarma Sauce and Middle Eastern Yellow Rice.
Notes
Use wild Alaskan sockeye salmon, Atlantic salmon, steelhead trout or Arctic char for this recipe.
Make simple homemade shawarma spice mix, or use your favorite ready-made shawarma spice mix.
