Ingredients
Scale
8 ounces fresh salmon, skinless and sushi grade
1/4 cup kimchi chili sauce
2 tablespoons fresh cilantro, diced
For serving:
1 teaspoon sesame seeds, black and white
Sushi rice, for serving
Avocado, for garnish
Lime, for garnish
Tortilla strips, for serving
Instructions
- To begin, dice salmon into small squares, roughly the same size. Add the salmon to a mixing bowl.
- To the bowl of salmon, add the kimchi chili sauce and cilantro. Stir to combine. Refrigerate for 15 minutes. Taste and adjust seasoning.
- While the salmon is marinating, slice or dice your avocado and slice limes for garnish.
- If preparing a sushi stack, use a ring mold and layer sushi rice, then diced avocado, then the spicy seasoned salmon. Top with a sprinkle of sesame seeds and crispy tortilla strips. Or serve with crispy tortilla chips and fresh lime wedges, for garnish.
Notes
This spicy salmon mixture can be used in sushi stacks, sushi rolls, poke bowls or hand rolls. It's the perfect flavorful addition to all your favorite sushi shapes.
Substitute sushi-grade tuna for salmon, if preferred.
