This creamy, garlic herb sauce makes everything better!
Ingredients
Scale
1/2 cup Greek yogurt
2 tablespoons tahini
1 1/2 tablespoons lemon juice
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoons fresh dill
1 teaspoon fresh mint
1/2 teaspoon sea salt
Sumac, optional, for garnish
Instructions
- Combine all ingredients in a small bowl. Taste and adjust seasoning. Remember that the sauce will intensify in flavor as the garlic marries with the Greek yogurt and lemon juice.
- Refrigerate for 15 minutes and re-taste.
- Garnish with more fresh herbs. Serve with falafel pitas, salad and hummus.
Notes
If the sauce is very thick, add a tablespoon of water to thin out the shawarma sauce to the right consistency before serving.
