French Au Gratin Potato Recipe

Ingredients:

– Heavy cream – Shallots – Fresh thyme – Garlic cloves – Salt and pepper – Potatoes – Gruyere cheese – Parmesan cheese

Let's Get Cooking

1. Prep cream sauce

Combine cream, shallots, thyme, garlic, salt and pepper in a saucepan. Simmer until garlic and shallots are softened.

Use an immersion blender to pulse the cream sauce until smooth.

2. Prep potatoes 

Clean and cut potatoes into very thin slices with a mandolin or sharp knife. Layer potatoes into casserole dish. 

Pour garlic cream sauce over potatoes and cover tightly with foil. Bake for 55-65 minutes, until potatoes are tender.

Remove from the oven. Turn oven to broil. Sprinkle gruyere and parmesan over potatoes. Broil for 5-7 mins until golden brown.

Top golden brown potatoes with a few fresh thyme leaves and serve.
