Ingredients:

– cod fillets – self rising flour – cornmeal – large eggs – milk – hot sauce – salt and pepper – paprika – garlic powder – cayenne pepper – oil + butter – lemon wedges

Let's Get Cooking

1. Prep Dredge Station

Mix flour, cornmeal, salt, paprika, garlic, cayenne and pepper in a bowl. In second bowl mix milk, eggs, salt and hot sauce.

2. Bread Cod

Dredge fish in seasoned flour, then dip into eggs, then back into the flour for a double coat of breading.

On the second dip into the dry seasoning mix, really pack the coating onto the fish, ensuring an even, crispy coating when baked.

3. Bake Cod

Lay cod in preheated skillet with butter and oil. Bake for 10 mins. Flip and bake until done. Broil last 2-3 mins to give it a golden brown crunch.

4

Whip up easy homemade tartar sauce by combining mayo, pickles, dijon and seasonings, or open store-bought tartar sauce.

Prep  for Service

5. Take a bow, chef!

Serve your crispy baked cod with fries, a lemon wedge and tartar sauce.
